This was a major project, owned by the RTA, Government of Dubai. It was contracted to us on supply and installation basis. The total quantity was in excess of 40,000m2 of cut to size marble mainly for all public areas and public toilets. The most dominant stone was Crema Valencia from Spain, in addition to a number of other Spanish stones.
The major challenge was the delivery schedule. We had to complete the project within six months from approval. This meant we had to fast track our due diligence on the materials and supply chain. We also took extra precautions in securing the later as we could not risk any disruptions or delays for any reason.
Additionally, we set up three shifts at the factory in order to continue production 24 hrs. per day. And we placed 250 stone masons at site working round the clock on installation supervised by two full time Project Managers on site and a large team of site supervisors (Foremen).
The project was delivered on time and as per approved specs.
